Circular Quay Sydney ~ tick!

At last I've been able to tick a huge box on my list today...I've arrived in Sydney at last.
It's been on my list for quite some time and I hoped that when I finally arrived it wouldn't be a disappointment especially the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
I can safely say it wasn't.

In March I wrote a post about the Sydney Harbour Bridge celebrating her 80th birthday but I didn't think  that I'd be able to see her in the flesh so soon.
She really is something and I must admit I was so pleased that she is such a fantastic icon.
And then you turn to the right and there's another icon...the Opera House.

I've seen both icons so many times in pictures, photographs, the news and TV programmes but really nothing compares to standing and seeing them up close and personal. They really are something!
The Circular Quay is the hub of Sydney Harbour, situated at a small inlet called Sydney Cove.
It is a stepping-off point for most attractions based around the harbour and an exciting place to be on a warm summer's day. The quay is a vibrant, bustling place with so much happening.
So we've sat awhile drinking in the atmosphere watching boats, ferries, helicopters and people passing by whilst having a cool refreshing drink. Cheers!
What a great way to spend an afternoon.

I just need to find Hugh Jackman now... :D

Don't worry Melbourne I still love you....
